Guillaume Herve

I am 17 years old (as of September 24) and live with my parents in Austin. I go to Westwood high school as a Junior in the IB program. My friends call me G-Man as many of them have difficulties in saying Guillaume. I moved to Texas 11 years ago from Venezuela. I was born in France which is where my name and my family comes from.

I have been driving RC cars since I was 5 years old. My first car had only one button on the remote :-).

I started to race Nitro cars at the Austin Hobby Town track in 2003 with a beginner's race car and received my first real car, a Mugen MTX-3 on X-mas 2004.

I now race a Mugen MTX-4 and as long as I have good grades in the IB program, I can keep on racing RC cars.

I won the 2007 series with my Mugen MTX-4. The engine is a Ninja, the fuel is coming from BK fuel and the tires of choice are Twister.

SWCS # 5 Houston - Sept 28

A really nice day. It is really hard to believe that Hurricane Ike was here 2 weeks ago. The track was fantastic and the facilities was as beautiful as ever. Thank you Mike and Jeff for running such a nice event.
My car was very fast while I was not feeling well at all. I could only put in one qualifier as I run out of fuel in the other and stalled in the third. This was good enough for a fourth place on the grid. I was in the middle of a big mess in the first turn of the race and restarted next to last. The car was fast so I was confident I was going to do well. This was not going to happen after the engine stalled on every pit stop. I finished 10 laps down on Chris Metheny who had a very nice race after taking the TQ. Well done Chris. Larry Pryor finished second and took a 4 point lead on Jeff Parker going into the last race of the series. I am now tied for 4th place and trailing Larry by 7 points. Winning the title is still possible but will require some miracles!!!

Texas Biggie 2008...

Missed again... I don't seem to be able to win this race. The entire event was going well for me as I won pole position and also the concourse for the best painted 200MM sedan body. My new IDM engine is awesome and the Pro Light Twister tires are amazing. Unfortunatlely, during the race, last year repeated itself and while in the lead I broke again. I started from pole after taking the TQ. I had a two laps lead when I stripped second gear. I dropped to 3rd place to replace the 2nd gear but was so much faster than every one else that I was confident I could get back in the lead quickly. It did not happen as I stripped the second gear 4 more times to finally finish in 4th place. After the race we found that the motor was misaligned on the chassis. We did not stripped any gear during practice or qualifier so I imagine the motor shifted when I was hit early in the race. while trying to pass a backmarker. I will be back next year to try again to put my name on this extremelly well run event. Thank you RCRCNT.
